Sweet and Sour Chicken Meatballs

Ingredients:

Meatballs

  • 1/4 kilo ground chicken
  • 1 pc medium carrots finely minced
  • 1 white onion finely minced
  • 6 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 tbsp kintsay finely minced
  • 2tsp salt
  • 2tsp pepper
  • 2tsp vetsin (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small carrots sliced
  • 2 tbsp finely minced onion
  • 2 tbsp finely minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp catsup
  • 1 tbsp water / cornstarch slurry
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • chopped white onion
  • chopped bell pepper
  • pineapple tidbits

Directions:

  • Mix all the meatballs ingredients and form into ball
  • Freeze for at least 3 hours
  • Deep fry and set aside
  • In pan, precook the carrots and set aside
  • Add the butter and saute ginger, garlic and onions
  • Season with salt, pepper and sugar
  • Add catsup and vinegar.
  • Simmer for 2 minutes
  • Add white onions, bell pepper, water and the juice from pineapple tidbits
  • After 1 minute, add the meatballs and pineapple tidbits
  • Mixthe slurry to thicken the sauce
