Explore Isdaan Floating Restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac

Whenever we visit my father’s hometown in Paniqui, Tarlac we always stop by Isdaan Floating Restaurant ever since it opened in 2005.

One of the most unique dining concepts is the Isdaan Floating Restaurant in Tarlac. Some equate it to the famous floating market in Thailand, but actually, the Isdaan Floating Restaurant is the brainchild of Mr. Rod Ongpauco of Barrio Fiesta.

Entering Isdaan, we were already experiencing a novelty in dining—floating bamboo huts in the middle of a wide pond. The crew warmly welcomed us with garlands. They put life vests on our kids because the pond is 6-9 feet deep.

Since we arrived during lunch time, we are a bit hungry. There weren’t many people during our visit so our order arrived in around 30 minutes. We ordered one of their group meals. It’s a festive Filipino dining experience for us.
