Sikatuna Mirror of the World Bohol: See Famous World Landmarks Without Leaving the Philippines

One of the newer stops on the Bohol travel is Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden. It is a park where you can stand in front of the Eiffel Tower, the Christ the Redeemer, and the Statue of Liberty all in one afternoon, without ever leaving the Philippines. We arrived around 3 in the afternoon, just in time to catch the golden light before sunset, and spent about two hours exploring the grounds.

Our Experience

I’ll be upfront — it didn’t completely blow me away. But I’m genuinely glad we went. There’s something fun and a little playful about walking through a park and spotting landmarks from across the world, one after another.

Audrey loved it. She ran from one replica to the next, calling out each one she recognized. That alone made the visit worthwhile for us.

The botanical garden sections in between the landmarks were a nice surprise. The pathways are well-kept, the plants are varied, and it gives the whole place a green, garden-like feel that makes the walk more pleasant than just moving from statue to statue. It’s not overwhelming. The pace is easy, and you can take your time.

We arrived at 3 PM and stayed until just before sunset. That turned out to be good timing. The light was softer, the heat had dropped a little, and the replicas looked better in that warm afternoon glow. If you’re into photography, that window between 4 and 6 PM is worth planning around.

It’s a lighthearted place. Don’t go in expecting something grand or deeply moving. Go in expecting a fun, easy afternoon with good photo opportunities and happy kids.

About Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World

Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden was created by Jan Yngvar Kolstø and Ann Dulogan Kolstø, a couple who wanted to give Filipinos a way to experience the joy of visiting famous world landmarks without the cost and distance of international travel. Their goal was also to bring a new tourism destination to Sikatuna, Bohol. This town doesn’t always make it onto the standard Bohol itinerary.

The result is a park filled with scaled-down replicas of some of the world’s most recognizable structures. You’ll find Christ the Redeemer from Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower from Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge from California, the Merlion from Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty from New York, among others. Each one is set within landscaped surroundings, and the whole park has an educational, discovery-style feel that works well for families traveling with kids in Bohol.

It’s one of the newer attractions in the province, and you can tell it was built with care. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. The concept is creative. And for the entrance fee, it offers good value especially for children who are just starting to learn about the world.

Tickets and Rates

Daytime Entrance (7:00 AM – 5:59 PM)
The regular rate is PHP 150. Seniors pay PHP 120. Children below 3 feet tall are charged PHP 50.

Night Entrance (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Regular rate goes up slightly to PHP 170. Seniors pay PHP 135. Children below 3 feet are PHP 50.

The night hours are worth considering if you want a different experience — some of the replicas are lit up in the evening, which makes for a completely different set of photos.

Planning Your Visit

Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The park is located in Sikatuna, Bohol. It is a bit off the main tourist trail, which also means it’s quieter than the bigger attractions. That’s actually a point in its favor.

Plan for one to two hours. That’s enough time to walk through everything, take photos, and enjoy the garden areas without rushing. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, particularly if you’re going during the day when the sun is high.
