Hotel Review: Crimson Hotel Manila

For Dee’s birthday this year, we decided to skip the travel and just check in somewhere nearby for a slow, quiet celebration. We ended up at Crimson Hotel Manila in Alabang, right across Festival Mall, and honestly, it was a great choice for a chill weekend.

We arrived around 3 PM, even though official check-in time was 4 PM. Luckily, we got in early. They have an express self-check-in kiosk at the lobby, which helped speed things up. If you’re using it, just a heads-up, the incidental deposit is ₱3,000. You can pay using a credit card, debit card, or cash. I didn’t have a credit card with me, and I wouldn’t recommend using debit since the refund takes forever. We just paid in cash.

Our room was on the 8th floor, and the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a simple but thoughtful surprise. There were balloons, a birthday banner, a cake, and a cute Crimson teddy bear. It wasn’t over the top, but it made the day feel extra special.

Our Room at Crimson Hotel

We booked a Premier Double Room for two adults and one child. The room was clean, spacious, and had really comfy pillows. The bed was soft, and the air conditioning worked well (cold and consistent), which I love. Wi-Fi was stable throughout our stay. The room also had a 40″ TV, cable channels, tea and coffee-making set, and daily housekeeping.

The bathroom came with robes, slippers, full toiletries, and a hair dryer. No issues at all with water pressure or heating. We didn’t request an extra bed since it’s not really recommended for this room type, but we had enough space for all of us.

Amenities and Facilities

After settling in, we walked over to Festival Mall for a late lunch. Having the mall right across the hotel is super helpful, especially when you’re with kids and want options for food or snacks.

Back at the hotel, we explored the swimming pool area. There are separate pools for kids and adults. It’s not heated, so expect regular pool water temp. Still, it was clean and not crowded when we visited.

Their fitness center is functional but on the small side. I didn’t use it this time, but I checked it out just to see. It has the basics, enough for a quick workout.

Breakfast buffet was the highlight. So many choices, and everything tasted fresh. From local dishes to continental staples, it was well-curated. We stayed two nights, and I didn’t mind eating breakfast there both mornings.

Second Breakfast

Crimson Hotel is known to be one of the top 5-star hotels in Metro Manila, and after this staycation, I understand why. The service was smooth, the staff were kind, and everything we needed was either in the hotel or just a few steps away.

For our 2-night stay, we paid ₱8,228.48 plus add-ons for the birthday setup. It was worth it. Sometimes, you don’t need a flight or long drive to feel like you’ve gone somewhere. A good hotel, a warm welcome, and a comfy bed go a long way.
