Guide to Taipei Children’s Amusement Park, the Best Theme Park for kids in Taiwan
Taipei Children’s Amusement Park should be on your list if you’re in Taipei with young kids and looking for a fun-filled day. Opened in 2014 and located in the Shilin District, this park is designed for younger children. It offers plenty of safe, age-appropriate rides and activities.
While it may not have the grandeur of Disneyland, Universal Studios, or even the Philippines’ Enchanted Kingdom, it’s still a great destination for families with little ones.
Our Experience at Taipei Children's Amusement Park
We decided to visit the park on our fourth day in Taiwan. We arrived around 11 a.m. Three hours turned out to be just enough for Audrey to try out a variety of rides.
We even encouraged her to go on her favorite rides more than once, but she was perfectly content after one round. Kids know what they like.
During our time at the park, we grabbed a quick bite at Burger King. Interestingly, it didn’t taste the same as the ones back in Manila. Dee tried the Angus Thick Cut Beef Burger, while I opted for the Q Bomb Ebi Beef Fort. Audrey kept it simple with chicken nuggets.
Pro tip: Bring your own if you or your kids are picky about condiments! We packed Heinz ketchup and mayo from home, and it was a lifesaver.
Rides at Taipei Children's Amusement Park
The park has a mix of rides that cater to different age groups, from toddlers to older children. Here’s a quick breakdown of the rides we saw and tried:

Orbit Starship – Third floor
Crazy Bus – First floor
Wave Swinger – Third floor
Telecombat – Third floor
Spinning Teacups – Third floor
Spinning Chairs – Third floor

Play Areas
If your kids are more into running around than riding attractions, there are also some play spaces:
Arcade Area
Indoor Playground (50 mins) – Second floor. We didn’t have time to check this out, but it’s a separate area that requires an extra ticket.
Baby Forest Park – First floor. This is perfect for toddlers who want to explore on foot.
Taipei Children’s Amusement Park Admission Rate
Getting tickets is super easy. You can book online through Klook or directly from the park’s website. We didn’t book in advance since children under six get in for free, and we decided to buy tickets on the day of our visit. Here’s what we spent:
- TWD 200 One-Day Pass: This pass allowed Dee and Audrey to enjoy unlimited rides at 13 attractions during the day. The rides included are more than enough for a full day of fun.
- TWD 30 Admission: I didn’t plan on riding anything, so I just paid for entry.
Remember that a few rides are run by third-party vendors and may have additional fees, but the rides covered by the one-day pass are plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Getting to Taipei Children's Amusement Park
Reaching the park is a breeze, especially if you’re familiar with Taipei’s MRT system. Here’s how we got there from our hotel (Greenworld Hotel):
- We started at Ximen Station (BL11) on the Blue Line and headed towards the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
- At Taipei Main Station (BL12), we switched to the Red Line toward Tamsui Station.
- Since we visited on a weekday, we got off at Jiantan Station (R15) and exited through Exit 3.
- From there, we caught the Red 30 bus, and they dropped us off at the park. Other bus lines that can also drop you off there are Bus 41 and 529
Note: This route is only available on weekdays.
If you’re planning to visit during the weekend, you’ll need to use different transportation options:
- From MRT Shilin Station (Exit 1), you can take Bus 255, Red 30, or Taipei Children’s Amusement Park Line 1. These buses don’t run on weekdays.
- MRT Zhishan Station (Exit 1) also has the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park 1 bus route.
Things to Keep in Mind
Timing Is Everything
We visited on a weekday and found the park to be less crowded. However, I’ve heard that the weekends can get busy, with long lines for the rides. If you prefer shorter waits, plan your visit during the week.
Bringing Food
While there are food options inside the park, like Burger King, the menu may have yet to hit the spot. You can pack your child’s favorite snacks. This could make a big difference in the day’s experience.
Strollers and Wheelchairs
The park is stroller and wheelchair-friendly, making it accessible for all families. There are designated spots for strollers, so you won’t have to carry them around all day.
What to Wear
While most rides are shaded or indoors, it can still get hot, especially during Taiwan’s warmer months. Dress comfortably, wear sunblock, and bring a hat or umbrella to stay cool.
If you’re traveling to Taipei with kids, the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park is a great way to spend a fun-filled morning or afternoon. It’s designed with children in mind, with lots of rides and activities to keep them entertained, and it’s easy on the wallet. Plus, the park’s size and layout make it manageable without feeling overwhelming.
While it’s not a massive theme park like some of the world’s larger attractions, it’s a must-visit for families who want to create fun memories with their little ones. So pack up, grab your tickets, and enjoy a stress-free day with the kids!
