Restaurant Review: Nonie’s Restaurant, Boracay

For people, that are always on the look for a gastronomic adventure, Boracay is a haven! It never runs out of good restaurants that serve delectable cuisines.

On our recent visit to Boracay, we tried one of the newest restaurants on the island – Nonie’s Restaurant.

Nonie’s Restaurant Boracay serves fusion-style Filipino-inspired meals. They locally and ethically source their products and ingredients.

Place

The restaurant is located in Station X. It’s accessible to the public. You can hail a tricycle so they can drop you off in Station X or from the white beach, walk towards Sunset road

The restaurant’s interior style is an industrial garden. I like to combination of wood, concrete, metals, and greeneries.

It’s kid-friendly too! They have available high chairs for babies and toddlers.

Service

The staff is friendly and nice. However, service time can be improved. It took almost an hour for them to serve our order.

Food

Nonie’s Bao Sliders (Php 350)
Nonie’s vegan patties, 72-hour crispy pork belly, and beef brisket hash, and homemade kimchi. Served with in-house dressing, seasonal greens, and sweet potato chips.

This is one of the most interesting meals I’ve tried in Boracay. My favorite among the three is the crispy pork belly!

Bistek Tagalog (Php 440)
Braised brisket of beef, bistek sauce, seasonal greens, local buffalo cheese served with sweet potato mash.

They usually serve this dish with sweet potato mash but we requested a cup of rice instead. I like that the meat is super tender and well-seasoned. The deep-fried onion slices added a little crunch to the dish.

Lemongrass Calamansi Iced tea (Php 140)
