Things to Do in Cebu with Kids

We went on a 4-day, 3-night family trip to Cebu, and it was packed with fun and adventure, even with a kid in tow. We booked a tour package to make things easier, especially since we were covering both the city and South Cebu.

The whole trip cost us ₱4,800 per person, and the best part? Audrey joins for free. The package came with transport, entrance fees, tour guides, snorkeling gear, and even a helmet for the canyoneering activity.

Day 1 – Cebu City Tour

We landed in Cebu around 8 AM. Our van and guide were already waiting. After a quick breakfast stop, we began our city tour. We started at Sirao Flower Farm, which is always a hit for photos. The rows of bright flowers were perfect for a morning stroll. Then we moved to the Temple of Leah, which had huge statues and sweeping views. Next up was the Taoist Temple. It’s quiet and a bit more laid-back. We walked around, took photos, and even lit some incense. Lavie Parisienne was optional, but we stopped for a quick drink—it’s a cozy wine and pastry spot with an all-pink aesthetic. From there, we went to Magellan’s Cross and Sto. Niño Church. It was crowded but manageable. We also visited a pasalubong center for snacks and dried mangoes, then made quick stop 10,000 Roses before checking into our hotel.

Sirao Flower Farm

Known as Cebu’s little Amsterdam, this place is filled with bright celosia blooms and fun photo spots.

Temple of Leah

This grand Roman-inspired structure was built as a symbol of love, and it’s filled with statues, columns, and sweeping views of Cebu. It feels like walking through a marble museum.

Taoist Temple

A peaceful stop with Chinese-inspired architecture and dragon statues. We climbed the steps, lit incense, and enjoyed the quiet view from the top.

10,000 Roses

Best seen at night, but still nice during the day. Audrey was curious if the roses were real—she was amazed to learn they were LED lights!

Day 2 – Moalboal

Our South Cebu tour kicked off at 4 AM. We left early for Moalboal and arrived just in time to see the sunrise. Snorkeling with the sardines run and sea turtles was surreal. The water was clear, and it wasn’t too deep, so it felt safe even with Audrey on board. We opt out for the canyoneering to Kawasan Falls since we thought it’s a bit extreme for Audrey. We had our lunch at Kawayan restaurant and headed to Bangcogon Beach Resort to rest.

Day 3 – Oslob

We were picked up again at 5 AM. First stop: Oslob Whale Shark Watching. The staff briefed us on what to do, and soon enough, we were in the water with these gentle giants. It was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of moment. Afterward, we visited Tumalog Falls. Next, we headed to Sumilon Island Sandbar. We took a boat out and had time to swim and explore. The beach was clean and quiet. It is ideal for just relaxing under the sun. Later we went to Oslob Cuartel before having lunch. Our final stop was Simala Shrine, a popular pilgrimage site with castle-like architecture. Audrey was tired by this time, but she managed to walk through most of it.

Sumilon Island Sandbar

A quick boat ride brings you to this beautiful sandbar. We relaxed on the beach, took photos, and let Audrey play in the shallow water.

Oslob Cuartel

Old Spanish ruins by the sea with wide open spaces to run around. A nice, quiet break after all the swimming.

Simala Shrine

Majestic and castle-like, this church is popular for prayers and wishes. Even Audrey was impressed by how grand it looked.
