Weekend at Dalitiwan Resort, Majayjay Laguna’s Natural Pools

We visited Dalitawan Resort on a Saturday morning and arrived around 9 AM. It’s located right along the national highway, so getting there was easy, even if it’s your first-time. The entrance is unassuming, and you’ll know right away this isn’t a high-end getaway but it’s the kind of place that brings people together for reunions, family gatherings, and barkada hangouts.

The resort is on a large private property with a rustic vibe: open cottages, flowing river water, trees all around, and guests playing their own music on speakers. It can get noisy and a bit chaotic, especially on weekends, but nothing too overwhelming. There’s enough space to keep things from feeling cramped.

Cottages and Facilities

They have three types of cottages: ₱600, ₱700, and ₱800. All come with access to electricity. The ₱800 cottage near the pool gets reserved fast, so if you want a good spot, arrive early.

Here are their rates, price may change without prior notice:

The pool area is the highlight but do take note it’s a man-made pool with river water, and it’s malumot (slippery with moss). If you have aqua shoes, wear them. Normal slippers work too, but we walked slowly and carefully, especially on the stone paths.

There’s also a natural river pool with bigger stones. It looks beautiful and refreshing, but can be tricky to walk through. It depends on your comfort level. Some say it’s therapeutic, but I just tried not to slip.

Parts of the resort are still under construction, and you’ll notice some exposed alambre and unfinished walls. It didn’t really ruin our visit, but it’s something to keep in mind.

They also have rooms for overnight stays, though we didn’t book one. Shower and toilet areas are available and spread across the resort. They’re a bit dark and basic, but good enough to rinse off before heading home.

Other Notes

There’s a lot of green space and trees. Parking is spacious, and there are grillers available if you want to bring and cook food. We saw a few trash bins, and the main areas were mostly clean. That said, there was still some litter near the river, which was a little disappointing.

Sprite Falls

Just a few meters away is Sprite Falls, which honestly looked more beautiful. It has its own entrance.

If you’re looking for a laid-back resort in Laguna with natural pools and picnic vibes, Dalitawan Resort works. It’s not fancy, but it has what you need for a casual day trip. Just manage your expectations, bring your own food, and come early if you want the good cottages.
